These terms apply to the Rumbo app for iPhone, the configuration tool for Mac and Windows, and this website, getrumbo.pages.dev. If you don't agree with them, don't use Rumbo.

What is Rumbo

Rumbo lets you simulate the location of your iPhone from the phone itself using Apple's development services. The setup tool prepares the iPhone via USB. You may need to repeat setup after device or iOS changes. A subscription does not make the setup permanent.

Rumbo does not jailbreak an iPhone or bypass its passcode, Trust, Developer Mode, Activation Lock, device management (MDM), or any other Apple protection.

Requirements

  • An iPhone that you own or that you are authorized to use, with iOS 17.4 or later.
  • An unlocked iPhone that trusts the computer, with Developer Mode enabled when required.
  • For initial setup, a Mac or Windows PC and a USB cable.
  • Be of legal age to accept these terms, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

Permitted use

You can use Rumbo on your devices for legitimate purposes, such as testing location-dependent apps, preparing demos, reviewing local content, or protecting your privacy.

Prohibited use

You cannot use Rumbo to:

  • Install or use it on another device without the permission of its owner.
  • Deceive, harass, stalk or harm other people.
  • Commit fraud or obtain advantages, payments or benefits to which you are not entitled.
  • Interfere with emergency services, security or protection of people.
  • Violate the conditions of other apps, games or services, or applicable law.

You are responsible for complying with the terms of each app or service in which you use a simulated location. Some prohibit it and may limit or close your account.

Operation and limits

  • Rumbo depends on Apple services that can change with each version of iOS. It may stop working fully or partly without advance notice.
  • Some apps can ignore or detect a simulated location.
  • Rumbo cannot verify what Find My shows.
  • After restarting your iPhone, updating iOS, or reinstalling the app, you may need to repeat the setup.
  • Movement modes require Rumbo to remain active. When you leave the app, Rumbo requests that the simulation stop. A powered-off iPhone, suspension or a connection failure may prevent that request from completing or being confirmed at the intended time.
  • Developer Mode reduces some iOS protections while it is activated. You can disable it in Settings › Privacy and security.

Restore Location remains available in the app. If Rumbo cannot confirm the clear, it warns you and keeps the action available for another attempt.

License to use

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Rumbo and its configuration tool under these terms. You may not sell, sublicense, or decompile them except to the extent permitted by law.

Some components are open source and governed by their own licenses, which you can consult at Licenses.

Price

You do not need to create a Rumbo account. You can choose the Fixed mode for free through rewarded ads or subscribe to Rumbo Pro through Apple. Resetting location does not require Pro or viewing ads.

In Fixed you can choose 5, 15 or 30 minutes for 1, 2 or 3 completed videos. You choose each video separately. The rewards are 5, 10 and 15 minutes respectively, and you can use minutes already earned. Availability depends on ad service. Minutes are not money, they do not transfer, and they do not unlock Pro modes. The time begins when the iPhone confirms that it has applied location.

Rumbo Pro includes Fixed without ads and Area, Microroute and Pro Route modes. It is offered through a monthly or annual subscription. The final price, currency, applicable taxes, and period are displayed on the Apple purchase screen before confirming. There is no free trial of the subscription unless Apple expressly shows an offer.

Your subscription automatically renews unless you turn off renewal in your Apple account settings before the next period. You can manage or cancel it there; cancelling keeps access until the end of the paid period. Refund requests are handled through Apple, without prejudice to your legal rights. “Restore Purchases” restores access that Apple confirms for your account.

The app distributed through the App Store is also subject to Apple’s standard license agreement. Purchasing Pro does not remove the trust, Developer Mode and setup requirements, or the technical limitations described above.

Guarantees and responsibility

Rumbo is provided “as is,” with no guarantee that it will work on all devices, iOS versions, or apps. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of data or accounts, or any penalties or restrictions imposed by other apps or services for using a simulated location.

None of the above limits the rights granted to you by consumer regulations or our responsibility in cases where the law does not allow it to be excluded.

This website

You can browse this website freely. You agree to use it lawfully and not to damage it, overload it or attempt to access non-public parts.

The texts, design, illustrations, logo and code of the website belong to Rumbo or are used under license; do not reproduce them for commercial purposes without permission. Screens and maps are illustrations and may differ from the app.

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience; we do not control their content. The website does not use cookies or analytics. See the privacy policy for details.

Apple, iPhone, Mac, iOS and Find My are trademarks of Apple Inc. Windows is a trademark of Microsoft Corporation. Rumbo is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by any of them.

Changes and end of service

We may update these terms or stop offering Rumbo. If the change is important, we will announce it in the app or on this website before it is applied. You can stop using Rumbo whenever you want by uninstalling it.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim before the courts of your place of residence.
