What does it apply to?

This policy covers the app Rumbo for iPhone, the configuration tool for Mac and Windows and this website, getrumbo.pages.dev.

What data is used

Rumbo saves your places and simulation status on your device. We do not operate a server that receives those saved places. Some actions use the external services described below: Apple for maps and purchases, Google for optional ads, and Valhalla for the road data you request.

You can delete saved and recent places in the app. Uninstalling Rumbo removes data from its container, but iOS may retain Keychain credentials. Uninstalling does not guarantee that the pairing will be deleted.

Apple services

To find places and display the map, Rumbo uses Apple's mapping service. The text you enter in place search and the area on the map are sent to Apple to give you suggestions. Apple processes that data according to its privacy policy.

If you install Rumbo through an Apple service, such as the App Store or TestFlight, and have analytics sharing with developers enabled, Apple may provide us with crash reports or aggregate statistics that do not directly identify you.

Subscriptions are processed with Apple using StoreKit. Rumbo checks your device for products and transactions signed by Apple to determine your Pro access. We do not receive your card number or Apple credentials. You can manage subscriptions in your Apple account settings.

Ads and consent

Fixed mode allows you to earn minutes watching rewarded Google AdMob videos. No ads are requested when you start the app: you choose to watch each video. Pro allows you to use Rumbo without these ads.

The Google Ads SDK may process your IP address and approximate location derived from it, device or app identifiers, information about and interactions with ads, and performance and crash data. Google uses that data to serve and measure ads, maintain service, and prevent fraud. Rumbo does not send your favorites, your actual GPS location, or pairing keys to AdMob.

Rumbo requests non-personalized ads. That does not mean that Google does not process data. Before requesting production ads, the consent status with Google User Messaging Platform is checked and its form is displayed where appropriate. When Google requires it, you can return to your ad privacy options from Settings.

Consult the Google privacy policy, how it uses data from associated apps and the AdMob SDK information. These services may process data outside your country, in accordance with the conditions and guarantees published by Google. Their retention periods depend on the data and your options; Rumbo cannot delete them simply by uninstalling the app.

Road data

If you choose to check speed limits and traffic lights in Pro Route, Rumbo sends the points of that route to the public service Valhalla by openstreetmap.de. The routing service also receives ordinary technical request data, such as your IP address. It is queried only when you use this feature; we do not send iPhone pairing records. The points you choose may be personal places, so avoid this option if you do not want to share them with that service.

Configuration tool

The tool works on your computer and communicates with your iPhone via the USB cable. It prepares the iPhone and saves the pairing in Rumbo. It does not send device data to us.

Rumbo Setup keeps a local device fingerprint, its iOS version, and the status and date of setup or recovery on your computer. It does not store your Apple credentials or location history. Recovery files may remain after you uninstall the setup tool so you can recover a pending connection after reinstalling it.

This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. To serve and protect it, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the browser and the pages requested, according to its privacy policy.

The website uses no cookies or tracking identifiers, and fonts are served from the site itself. We measure aggregate page views and download or setup button clicks with Cloudflare Analytics Engine. These statistics contain only the action type, page and language; they do not store IP addresses, identifiers, searches or URL parameters.

Mac preview downloads are served from GitHub. The Windows download will be provided through the Microsoft Store when it is available. By following one of those links, the provider receives the technical data necessary to deliver and install the file, according to its own privacy policies. No Microsoft component loads or a download is requested until you click the link.

Third party apps

Rumbo's built-in connection uses a local connection profile on the iPhone for its development services. It is not a remote VPN service nor does it send your browsing to a Rumbo VPN server. The other apps you use on your iPhone have their own terms and privacy policies.

Your rights

You can ask us for access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability of the data we have about you by writing to neonswipe.help@gmail.com.

If you believe we have not handled your request appropriately, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency.

Minors

Rumbo is not aimed at children under 14 years of age.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above. If the change is important, we will also indicate it in the app.
